AMVC donated three piglets to the Adair County Ag Adventure Program, where local schools learn about pigs and get to interact with live piglets. AMVC has assisted with this program for several years, as helping educate students about modern pig farming practices supports the industry.
Public relations coordinator, Alicia Humphrey, assisted in the animal care session with the students at Nodaway Valley Elementary School students. The students learned about the importance of giving piglets an iron shot, docking tails as well as how to ear notch piglets.
