The Mobile Food Pantry organized by Audubon County New Opportunities will be starting up a new season thanks to the donation from AMVC. Alicia Humphrey, AMVC public relations coordinator, presented the $150 donation to Ashley Schmidt of New Opportunities. The money is used to pay the rental fee for the armory to host the bi-monthly mobile food pantry.
The Mobile Pantry is free, open to the public and geared towards individuals and families in need of food assistance. During the last few years, the pantry has served around 80 households during each mobile pantry food distribution.
AMVC is proud to support the mission of helping feed those in need. As pig farmers, we care about our community and doing the right thing every day. This is the perfect opportunity for us to give back to our rural community.
