Pig farmers care about their community. The Iowa Pork Producers Association Board decided to host a “Thank You Tour” to be held in the six major pork processing communities in Iowa – Waterloo, Marshalltown, Ottumwa, Storm Lake, Denison, and Sioux City. The tour was a way of saying thank you to community leaders, packer/processors, food banks, food retailers, and the general public in these communities for their support during the pork industry’s COVID-19 challenges.
AMVC growers, Brad Lundell and Brian and Lisa Lundell, stepped up and helped deliver pork to the fire department and helped distribute 1,000 pork loins in the community drive-thru.
